As most of you know, tornadoes ripped across Oklahoma these past two days.  The one that struck Moore is stunning in its devastation.  The death toll is rising, and because an elementary school was directly hit, the number of children lost is heartbreaking.  It is a tragedy of incomprehensible scope.

Please remember the broken hearts and broken lives in Oklahoma today.  Do whatever you can: Make a donation to a charity. Offer a prayer for comfort and strength.  Be kind to a stranger.  Call your family and tell them you love them. Hug your kids.

Oklahoma is a place of wild, rugged beauty, open plains and endless skies.  And the people who live underneath those skies learn to lean into the wind, to hold fast when things get hard.  They grow deep, strong roots.

And they don’t give up.
